Gabrielle Renaudot Flammarion was a French astronomer. She worked at the Camille Flammarion Observatory at Juvisy-sur-Orge, France, and was General Secretary of the Société Astronomique de France.

Louis de Rohan-Chabot was a member of the House of Rohan-Chabot and Duke of Rohan. He married an heiress and acted as Louis XIV's representative in Brittany. He was styled as the Prince of Léon prior to becoming Duke of Rohan. His direct descendant is today's Josselin de Rohan, a member of the Senate of France, representing the Morbihan department.

Marie Charles Louis d'Albert de Luynes was a French nobleman and member of the House of Albert. He was the fifth Duke of Luynes as well as Duke of Chevreuse.

Louis Antoine de Pardaillan, marquis of Antin, Gondrin and Montespan (1701), then 1st Duke of Antin (1711) was a French nobleman. He was painted by Rigaud.

André Gill was a French caricaturist. Born Louis-Alexandre Gosset de Guînes at Paris, the son of the Comte de Guînes and Sylvie-Adeline Gosset. Gill studied at the Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture. He adopted the pseudonym André Gill in homage to his hero, James Gillray. Gill began illustrating for Le Journal Amusant. Gill, however, became known for his work for the weekly four-sheet newspaper La Lune, edited by Francis Polo, in which he drew portraits for a series entitled The Man of the Day. He worked for La Lune from 1865 to 1868. When La Lune was banned, he worked for the periodical L'Éclipse from 1868 to 1876. Gill also drew for famous periodical Le Charivari.

Edme-Sébastien Jeaurat was a French astronomer most notable for publishing a map of the 64 stars of the Pleiades in 1786. He was a member of the French Academy of Sciences. He originally studied art, receiving a medal from the French Academy of Painting and published an art book "Essai de perspective à l'usage des artistes" in 1750. His parents were Edme Jeaurat and Marie-Charlotte born Le Clerc. He was the first founder of various settlements that were taken over by the École Militaire in favor of astronomy. He was elected a Foreign Honorary Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1783.

Princess Maria Anna Victoria of Savoy was the daughter of Prince Louis Thomas of Savoy, Count of Soissons, and Uranie de La Cropte de Beauvais (1655-1717).
