Saint Giles
Saint Giles, also known as Giles the Hermit, was a Greek, Christian, hermit saint from Athens, whose life is centered in Provence and Septimania. Giles founded the abbey in Saint-Gilles-du-Gard whose tomb became a place of pilgrimage. It was a stop on the road that led from Arles to Santiago de Compostela, the pilgrim Way of St. James. Giles is one of the Fourteen Holy Helpers.

Giannis Bourousis is a Greek professional basketball player for Peristeri of the Greek Basket League and the Basketball Champions League. He is a 7 ft 3⁄4 in 270 lb (122 kg) tall center. A two-time All-EuroLeague First Team selection, Bourousis has been compared to FIBA Hall of Fame center Vlade Divac by San Antonio Spurs' head coach Gregg Popovich.
Yakup Ağa
Yakup Ağa or Ebu Yusuf Nurullah Yakub, was the father of the Barbarossa Brothers, Oruç and Hızır. A Sipahi of Turkish or Albanian descent. Yakup Ağa was a former Sipahi, a Turkish feudal cavalry knight, from Yenice. Yakup was among those who took part in the capture of the Aegean island of Lesbos from the Genoese on behalf of the Ottomans in 1462. For his participation he was granted the fief of Bonova village of the island as a reward and the title of the village's Agha (master).
Giorgio de Chirico
Giorgio de Chirico was an Italian artist and writer born in Greece. In the years before World War I, he founded the scuola metafisica art movement, which profoundly influenced the surrealists. His most well-known works often feature Roman arcades, long shadows, mannequins, trains, and illogical perspective. His imagery reflects his affinity for the philosophy of Arthur Schopenhauer and of Friedrich Nietzsche, and for the mythology of his birthplace.
Mehmed Ferid Pasha
Mehmed Ferid Pasha was an Ottoman statesman of ethnic Albanian background. He served as Grand Vizier of the Ottoman Empire from 15 January 1903 until 22 July 1908, at the time when the Sultan restored the 1876 Constitution following the Young Turk Revolution. Other than Ottoman Turkish he spoke the Albanian, Arabic, French, Italian, and Greek languages.
