Nani Bregvadze is a Georgian Soviet singer and actress. She was born, raised and started her career in Soviet Georgia in the USSR, then gained USSR-wide popularity during 1957 6th World Festival of Youth and Students. Bregvadze has performed both with Georgian music groups and as a solo artist.

Tarkhan Tayumurazovich Batirashvili, known by his nom de guerre Abu Omar al-Shishani or Omar al-Shishani, was a Georgian Chechen jihadist who served as a commander for the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, and was previously as a sergeant in the Georgian Army.

Tochinoshin Tsuyoshi is a Georgian professional sumo wrestler from Mtskheta. He is a member of the Kasugano stable and made his professional debut in March 2006. He reached the top makuuchi division just two years later in May 2008. After a long hiatus due to injury, he began his comeback from the rank of makushita 55 in March 2014, logging four championships in a row in lower divisions on his way back to the top division in November 2014. He has eleven special prizes, six for Fighting Spirit, three for Technique, and two for Outstanding Performance, as well as two kinboshi or gold stars for defeating yokozuna. In January 2018 he took his first top-division yūshō (championship). In May 2018, after finishing as runner-up with a 13–2 record and a total of 37 wins in his last three tournaments, he was promoted to ōzeki. He was demoted to sekiwake after posting losing records in the first two tournaments of 2019, but returned to ōzeki after winning ten matches at the May 2019 basho.

Zakhariy Knyazevich Kalashov, nicknamed "Young Shakro", is a Russian mafia boss, notorious gangster and thief in law, who is widely believed to be one of the most prominent members of the Russian mafias. Kalashov is an ethnic Yazidi Kurd.

Goga Bitadze is a Georgian professional basketball player for the Indiana Pacers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Listed at 6 ft 11 in (2.11 m) and 250 lbs, he plays the center position. He was drafted 18th overall by the Pacers in the 2019 NBA draft.

Ekaterine "Eka" Zguladze is a Georgian and Ukrainian government official. She served as First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine since 17 December 2014 till 11 May 2016. She had served as Georgia's First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs from 2006 to 2012 and Acting Minister of Internal Affairs in 2012.

Grigory Chkhartishvili has also written under pen names Anatoly Brusnikin, Anna Borisova, and Akunin-Chkhartishvili.

Vladimir Arutyunian is a Georgian national who attempted to assassinate United States President George W. Bush and Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili by throwing a hand grenade at them on 10 May 2005. The attempt failed when the grenade did not detonate. He was later arrested and sentenced to life in prison.
