He won the Prix Goncourt in 2019 for Tous les hommes n'habitent pas le monde de la même façon, a novel told from the perspective of a prisoner looking back on life. The jury compared Dubois to John Irving and William Boyd, who wrote books that were both popular and critical successes.

She won gold at the 2014 European Judo Championships in Montpellier, and bronze in the 2014 World Judo Championships in Chelyabinsk and gold at the 2015 European Judo Championships in Baku. She won the gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
