Stanislav Zvolenský is a Slovak prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He is the first Archbishop of Bratislava.

Braňo Prieložný is a Slovak bobsledder. He competed in the four man event at the 2002 Winter Olympics.

Ladislav Jurkemik is a former Slovak football player and later a football manager. He played in the Czechoslovak First League for Inter Bratislava and Dukla Banská Bystrica. Jurkemik played internationally for Czechoslovakia; he played a total of 57 matches and scored 3 goals. He managed Slovakia in 2002 and 2003.

Monsignor Alojz Tkáč is Slovak bishop, he was the first archbishop of the Košice Episcopal see, nowadays archbishop emeritus.

Matej Jurčo is a Slovak former professional road bicycle racer, who competed professionally between 2004 and 2015. He is the son of Milan Jurčo, who was also a professional cyclist.

Viliam Široký was a prominent Communist politician of Czechoslovakia, the Prime Minister from 1953 to 1963. He also served as the leader of the Communist Party of Slovakia between 1945 and 1954. According to the French historian Muriel Blaive, he was an ethnic Hungarian.

Matej Hliničan is a Slovak male badminton player. In 2014, he won the Ethiopia International tournament in the mixed doubles event partnered with Bridget Shamim Bangi of Ethiopia, and became the runner-up in the men's doubles event with Arnaud Genin of French. In December 2014, he and Bangi became the runner-up at the Botswana International tournament, they were defeated by the South African pair in the final round. In 2015, he teamed-up with Jan Fröhlich in the men's doubles event, and they became the runner-up at the Puerto Rico International tournament.
