Armas Äikiä
Armas Äikiä (1904–1965) was a Finnish communist writer and journalist. He wrote the Anthem of Karelo-Finnish SSR. A citizen of two countries, who had several collection of poems published in the Soviet Union. Back in Finland, when the Communist Party was banned, he spent years in prison and wrote defiant poems.

Tuomas Planman was the keyboardist for the Finnish Melodic death metal band Norther, until their break up in 2012; he also played in the black metal band Gramary.
Tero Lehterä
Tero Juhani Lehterä is retired professional ice hockey player who played the majority of his career in the SM-liiga. He played for Tappara, Jokerit, HPK, and Espoo Blues. He also had stints in Elitserien, the IHL, Russia, Switzerland and Germany. He also won a bronze medal at the 1994 Winter Olympics and World Championship with Finland's 1995 Ice Hockey World Championships team.

Tinja-Riikka Tellervo Korpela is a Finnish football goalkeeper who plays in the FA WSL for Everton. She previously played for Bayern Munich in the German Frauen-Bundesliga, Tyresö FF in Sweden's Damallsvenskan, LSK Kvinner and Kolbotn of Norway's Toppserien, and FC Honka of Finland's Naisten Liiga.
