Edin Džeko is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a striker and captains both Serie A club Roma and the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

Marin Čilić is a Croatian professional tennis player. Over the course of his career, Čilić has won 18 ATP Tour singles titles, including a Grand Slam title at the 2014 US Open. His career-high singles ranking is world No. 3, achieved on 28 January 2018. Čilić first came to international prominence by defeating world No. 2 Andy Murray in the fourth round of the 2009 US Open, and then reaching the semifinals at the Australian Open a few months later. He was also runner-up at the 2017 Wimbledon Championships and the 2018 Australian Open, losing to Roger Federer both times. Čilić has reached at least quarterfinal in all four major tournaments, and has made it to at least that stage at 13 different Grand Slams. He is known for his fast serves and powerful ground-strokes.

Miralem Pjanić is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Spanish club Barcelona and the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

Hasan Salihamidžić, nicknamed Brazzo, is a Bosnian former professional footballer and current sporting director of Bundesliga club Bayern Munich. After starting his club career with German side Hamburger SV, he made a name for himself while playing for Bayern Munich for nine seasons with whom he won the Bundesliga title six times, DFB-Pokal title four times, the 2000–01 UEFA Champions League, and the 2001 Intercontinental Cup. His only match in the UEFA Super Cup ended in defeat. He also played for Italian club Juventus for four seasons.

Vladimir Petković is a Bosnian-Swiss football manager and former professional player who played as a midfielder. He is currently the head coach of the Switzerland national team, having previously managed a string of Swiss clubs as well as Italian side Lazio.

Zlatko Dalić is a Croatian professional football manager and former player who played as a midfielder. He is the current manager of the Croatia national team.

Andrea Petkovic is a German tennis player. Born in Tuzla, SFR Yugoslavia, to Serbian father Zoran and Bosniak mother Amira, she moved to Germany at six months old and turned professional in 2006 at the age of 18. A former top-10 player, Petkovic reached her career-high singles ranking of world No. 9 on 10 October 2011, becoming the first German female player ranked inside the top 10 since Steffi Graf in 1999. That year, she reached the quarterfinals at three Grand Slam tournaments as well as a Premier Mandatory final at the China Open, and qualified as an alternate to the WTA Tour Championships.

Dejan Lovren is a Croatian professional footballer who captains Russian Premier League club Zenit Saint Petersburg and plays for the Croatia national team as a centre back.

Standing at 6 ft 11 in (2.11 m) tall and weighing 290 lb (132 kg) the center was selected by the Chicago Bulls with the 16th overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft. He also represents the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team internationally.
