Dieter "Didi" Senft is a German cycling fan who is known as the Didi the Devil or El Diablo at the Tour de France and Giro d'Italia. Since 1993, he has been seen in the Tour and Giro's many stages wearing his red devil costume and painting trident symbols on the road some miles before he appears. Senft said the inspiration for his costume came from secretly watching the Tour de France on West German TV and hearing a broadcaster refer to the red triangular flag that marks the last kilometer as "the devil's red flag."

Huáng Yǒng Pīng was a Chinese-French contemporary artist and one of the most well known Chinese Avant-garde artists of his time. Born in Xiamen, he was recognized as the most controversial and provocative artist of the Chinese art scene of the 1980s.

Roger Gicquel was born on 22 February 1933 in Thiers-sur-Thève in the Oise department, and died on 6 March 2010 in Plouër-sur-Rance in the Côtes-d'Armor was a French journalist. He presented the 20 hour Journal on the TV channel TF1 from 1975 to 1981.

Siegfried Reiprich is a German human rights activist and author. He was involved in the resistance against the communist regime of the German Democratic Republic (GDR), which led to him being expelled from university and eventually banished from the GDR. In 2009, he was appointed by the Government of Saxony as the Director of the Stiftung Sächsische Gedenkstätten. In 2011, he was elected as a member of the Executive Board of the Platform of European Memory and Conscience.

José António da Fonseca Vieira da Silva is a Portuguese politician and a member of the Socialist Party. He served as Minister of Solidarity, Employment and Social Security from 2015 to 2019 under Prime Minister António Costa.

Bernard Bosson was a French politician and lawyer. He served as Minister of Transport, Minister of Tourism, and Minister of Public Works under Prime Minister Édouard Balladur from 1993 to 1995. He was a member of the 12th French National Assembly, representing Haute-Savoie as a member of the Union for French Democracy. He was also the mayor of Annecy. Bosson died in hospital in Lyon, France on 16 May 2017.

Anna Vladimirovna Sidorova is a Russian curler. She currently skips her own team on the World Curling Tour. Sidorova was the skip of the Russian team that won bronze medals at the World Women's Curling Championships from 2014–2016 and the silver medal at the 2017 World Women's Curling Championship.

Tomás Villanueva Rodríguez was a Spanish politician. He was born in Valladolid and held several positions in the Junta of Castile and León. He was involved in various corruption scandals, and was set to appear before court in late 2017. However, on 7 September 2017, at the age of 64, Villanueva died suddenly of a heart attack.
