Ejnar Hertzsprung was a Danish chemist and astronomer born in Copenhagen. In the period 1911–1913, together with Henry Norris Russell, he developed the Hertzsprung–Russell diagram.

Anne of Denmark was a Danish princess from the House of Oldenburg. Through her marriage with Augustus of Saxony she became Electress of Saxony. She was renowned for her knowledge of plants and her skill in the preparation of herbal remedies, and contributed to the development of farming and horticulture in Saxony. She was a major influence in the introduction of orthodox Lutheranism and played a role in the decision to persecute Calvinists.

Knud, Hereditary Prince of Denmark was a member of the Danish royal family, the younger son and child of King Christian X and Queen Alexandrine.

Sophus Erhard "Krølben" Nielsen was a Danish amateur football player and manager, and the first player in history to score ten goals in a full national team match. Nielsen scored a total 16 goals in 20 games for the Denmark national football team, and won silver medals at the 1908 and 1912 Summer Olympics. He was named Danish national team manager in 1940, and he was a pioneer in educating Danish coaches. His nickname Krølben is slang for him being bandy-legged.

Hans Christian Cornelius Mortensen was a Danish teacher and ornithologist. He was the first to employ bird ringing for scientific purposes.

Jørgen Bent Larsen was a Danish chess grandmaster and author. Known for his imaginative and unorthodox style of play, he was the first Western player to pose a serious challenge to the Soviet Union's dominance in chess. He is considered to be the strongest player born in Denmark and the strongest from Scandinavia until the emergence of Magnus Carlsen.

Elisabeth of Denmark was duchess consort of Brunswick-Lüneburg as married to Duke Henry Julius of Brunswick-Lüneburg. She was regent of Brunswick-Lüneburg in 1616–1622.
