List of Famous people born in Cuba

Dayron Robles is a Cuban track and field athlete who specialises in the 110 metre hurdles.

Yarisley Silva Rodríguez is a Cuban pole vaulter. She won the silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics – the first Latin American athlete to win an Olympic medal in that event.

Anier Octavio García Ortiz is a Cuban track and field athlete, winner of the 110 metres hurdles at the 2000 Summer Olympics.

Solángel Guzmán Pérez is a Cuban female badminton player, and now represented Trinidad and Tobago. Guzman was a top badminton player in Cuba, where she became a Pan Am Games doubles quarter-finalist, a CAC singles champion and also medalled at the Peru Open, as well as tournaments in Brazil, Venezuela and Dominican Republic. Since arriving in T&T, she has also dominated the local badminton scene, taking the triple crown in every tournament.

José Miró Cardona was a Cuban politician. He served as Prime Minister for a period of some six weeks in early 1959, following his appointment by President Manuel Urrutia on January 5, 1959. On February 13, 1959, Miró unexpectedly resigned and was replaced by Fidel Castro.

Pedro Felipe Figueredo, mostly known as Perucho was a Cuban poet, musician, and freedom fighter of the 19th century. In the 1860s, he was active in the planning of the Cuban uprising against the Spanish known as the Ten Years' War.

Juan Esteban Lazo Hernández is a Cuban politician who has been the President of the National Assembly of People's Power, Cuba's parliament, since 2013. Previously he was Vice-President of the Cuban Council of State. He is a member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of Cuba since 1980 and National Assembly of People's Power member since 1981.

Aurelio Mario Gabriel Francisco García Menocal y Deop was the 3rd President of Cuba, serving from 1913 to 1921. His terms as president saw Cuba's participation in World War I.
