Timur Mutsurayev, or Mucuraev, is a Chechen singer and bard who sings in Russian.

Timur Magomedovich Eneev was a Russian mathematician specializing in mechanics and control processes. A minor planet Eneev discovered in 1978 is named after him. He was the editor-in-chief of the journal Cosmic Research. He was a member of the Balkar ethnic group.

Anzor Adamovich Boltukayev is a Russian freestyle wrestler of Chechen descent. He competes in the 96 kg division and won the bronze medal in the same division at the 2013 World Wrestling Championships defeated Aleksey Krupnyakov of Kyrgyzstan.

Muslim Mahammad oglu Magomayev was Azerbaijani composer and conductor. He is the grandfather and a namesake of Azerbaijani opera singer Muslim Magomayev.

Islambek Tsilimovich Albiev is a Russian wrestler of Chechen descent, who won a gold medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Greco-Roman wrestling. Albiev is a World champion (2009) and two-time European champion.
