Emir Kusturica is a Serbian filmmaker, actor and musician. He also has French citizenship. He has been recognized for several internationally acclaimed feature films, as well as his projects in town-building. He has competed at the Cannes Film Festival on five occasions and won the Palme d'Or twice, as well as the Best Director prize for Time of the Gypsies.

Matej Delač is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Danish club AC Horsens.

Ivan Ljubičić is a retired Croatian professional tennis player. He reached a career-high Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) world No. 3 singles ranking on 1 May 2006. His career highlights include reaching a Grand Slam semifinal at the 2006 French Open, and an ATP World Tour Masters 1000 title at the Indian Wells Masters in 2010 as well as 3 other finals, 2 of them coming in 2005 at Madrid and Paris, and the other at the Miami Masters in 2006.

Mustafa Nadarević was a Yugoslav, and later Bosnian and Croatian film, theatre and television actor. He starred in over 70 films; some of those films are: The Smell of Quinces (1982), When Father Was Away on Business (1985), Reflections (1987), The Glembays (1988), Kuduz (1989), Silent Gunpowder (1990), The Perfect Circle (1997), Days and Hours (2004), Mirage (2004), and Halima's Path (2012).

Dragan Bender is a Croatian professional basketball player for Maccabi Tel Aviv of the Israeli Premier League and the EuroLeague. He stands 7 ft 1 in (2.16 m) in shoes, and plays the power forward and center positions. He was selected by the Phoenix Suns with the fourth overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft. Bender represents the Croatian national team, with experience in the FIBA Europe junior tournaments. Before playing in Israel, he competed with multiple teams in Croatia and in Nikola Vujčić's academy.

Saša Stanišić is a Bosnian-German writer. He was born in Višegrad, Bosnia and Herzegovina as the son of a Bosniak mother and a Serbian father. In the spring of 1992, he fled alongside his family to Germany as a refugee of the Bosnian War.
