Vice Admiral Mohab Mamish is the chairman of the Suez Canal Authority. He was the Commander of the Egyptian Navy from 27 September 2007 until August 2012. He was also a member of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces which governed Egypt de facto after the Egyptian Revolution of 2011.

Ibrahim Said is an Egyptian retired professional footballer who played as a centre back.

Nour El Sherbini is an Egyptian professional squash player. She is a four times World champion and became the youngest woman to win the Women's World Championship (2015). In 2016, she retained her title and in 2019 won her third World Championship equalling the feat of Michelle Martin and rising to equal fourth in the all time list of world championships won. She is the 2nd best player in the world.

Mahienour El-Masry is an Egyptian human rights lawyer and political activist from Alexandria, who has been engaged on the activist scene in the coastal city since the mid 2000s, and was arrested on 22 September 2019.

Teresa Cremisi is an Egyptian-born Italian publisher and writer. She was born in Alexandria, where she attended the French Catholic boarding school Notre-Dame de Sion d'Alexandrie. She left Egypt with her family after the Suez crisis of 1956. The family settled in Milan, and Teresa took a degree in foreign languages and literature at Bocconi University.
