Deniss Vasiļjevs is a Latvian figure skater. He is the 2016 Youth Olympics silver medalist. He is also the 2015 CS Tallinn Trophy bronze medalist, the 2016–17 and 2017–18 Cup of Tyrol champion, the 2018 Minsk-Arena Ice Star champion, the 2020 Nebelhorn Trophy champion, and a four-time Latvian national champion. He finished in the top ten at the 2017 European Championships, in the top five at the 2018 European Championships and in the top ten at the 2018 World Championships.

The stadium was full to its 91,000 capacity according to organizers.
