Norman Dello Joio is an American equestrian and Olympic medalist. He was born in New York City. He qualified for the 1980 U.S. Olympic team but did not compete due to the U.S. Olympic Committee's boycott of the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, Russia. Dello Joio was one of 461 athletes to receive a Congressional Gold Medal instead. He won a bronze medal in show jumping at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona.

Meg Rosoff is an American writer based in London, United Kingdom. She is best known for the novel How I Live Now, which won the Guardian Prize, Printz Award, and Branford Boase Award and made the Whitbread Awards shortlist. Her second novel, Just in Case, won the annual Carnegie Medal from the British librarians recognising the year's best children's book published in the UK.

Carol Ann Blazejowski is an American retired professional women's basketball player and the former president and General Manager of the New York Liberty of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Blazejowski was inducted in the inaugural class at the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 1999.

Suren Khachatryan, known as Liska, is an Armenian politician and was the governor of the Syunik region of Armenia, a position from which he resigned in 2013, presumably because of a shooting incident near his mansion in Goris. Prior to that, from 1996 to 1999, he was the mayor of Goris. A member of Armenia's Republican Party, Khachatryan was also the deputy to the Armenian National Assembly from 1999 to 2004. He has a wife and four children.

He is a member of the German Leopoldina Academy of Sciences in Halle, and a corresponding member of the Austrian Academy of Sciences in Vienna.
