Manuel "Matty" Moroun was an American billionaire businessman, most notable as the owner of the Ambassador Bridge international crossing connecting Detroit, Michigan, and Windsor, Ontario. The bridge, which Moroun purchased from the Bower family in 1979, is one of the few privately-owned border crossings between the United States and Canada.

Nicolas Huỳnh Văn Nghi was a Vietnamese Catholic prelate. He was Bishop of Phan Thiết from 1974 to 2005.

Henri Martin was a political activist of the French Communist Party and former sailor famous for the political-military scandal called the Henri Martin Affair in which the government of the French Fourth Republic meted out a five-year prison sentence to him for distributing pamphlets in opposition to the First Indochina War.
