Emil Kemmer
Robert Wright
Robert Craig Wright, also known as Bob Wright, was an American composer-lyricist for Hollywood and the musical theatre, best known for the Broadway musical and musical film Kismet, for which he and his professional partner George Forrest adapted themes by Alexander Borodin and added lyrics. Kismet was one of several Wright and Forrest creations that was commissioned by impresario Edwin Lester for the Los Angeles Civic Light Opera. Song of Norway, Gypsy Lady, Magdalena, and their adaptation of The Great Waltz were also commissioned by Lester for the LACLO. The LACLO then exported most of these productions to Broadway.
Emmanuel Roblès
Emmanuel Roblès was a French author. He was elected a member of the Académie Goncourt in 1973. He was one of many influential "pied-noir" of his time. The literary award Prix Emmanuel Roblès has been established in his honour in 1990.
Aziz Diya
Abdul Aziz Zia al-Din Zahid Murad, or as he was known as Aziz Diya 1914-1997 CE, was a significant Saudi writer, critic, translator, journalist and broadcaster; He was a member of the Culture and Arts Association, a founding member of the Jeddah Literary Club, co-founder of the Okaz newspaper, and worked in Saudi Radio as a political commentator. He joined the military in 1928, then transferred to general security as a writer, and was included in several governmental positions, the most prominent of which was his appointment as Director of Airlines during his period of work in the Ministry of Defence, Aviation and the General Inspectorate, as well as, his assumption of the position of Deputy Director of Public Security for Investigation Affairs. He was also an expert in the design and evaluation of concert halls and opera houses, and authored the classic textbook Music, Acoustics, and Architecture, revised and extended in 2004 under the title Concert Halls and Opera Houses: Music, Acoustics, and Architecture.
