He caused considerable controversy in his home country when he came out as gay in 2000, and remains the most prominent openly gay celebrity in Korea. In 2018, he revealed to be third cousins with Taeyong of NCT.

Masaaki Ōsawa was the governor of Gunma Prefecture in Japan. He was first elected in 2007 after serving in the assembly of Gunma Prefecture.

John de Vere Loder, 2nd Baron Wakehurst, was a British Army officer, politician and colonial administrator. After serving in the army, the Foreign Office, and as a Conservative Member of Parliament (MP) in the House of Commons, Wakehurst was appointed as the last British Governor of New South Wales, which he held from 1937 to 1946. Upon returning to Britain he was appointed Governor of Northern Ireland from 1952 to 1964. He was made a Knight of the Order of the Garter in 1962 and died in 1970.

Ousmane Diarra is a retired athlete who represented Senegal and later France. He was initially a 400 metres sprinter competing at the 1988 Summer Olympics but later switched to the 800 metres. On that distance he won the bronze medal at the 1994 European Indoor Championships and the silver at the 1994 Jeux de la Francophonie.

He also served as the first president of the German Confederation following its establishment in 1815.

Wang Han is a Chinese diver who specialises in the 1 meter and 3 meter springboard events. Wang won a silver medal in the 1 meter springboard event at the 2011 World Aquatics Championships.
