Alice Charlotte von Rothschild, otherwise referred to as 'Miss Alice', was a socialite and member of the Rothschild banking family of Austria. Born in Frankfurt, she was the eighth and youngest child of Anselm von Rothschild (1803–1874) and Charlotte Rothschild (1807–1859) and younger sister to the British politician, Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild. She was a small child when her family moved to Vienna, where her father took over management of the family-owned S M von Rothschild bank.

Gérard Vergnaud was a French mathematician, philosopher, educator, and psychologist. He earned his doctorate from the International Center for Genetic Epistemology in Geneva under the supervision of Jean Piaget. Vergnaud was a professor emeritus of the Centre national de la recherche scientifique in Paris, where he was a researcher in mathematics. Among his most significant work has been the development of the Theory of Conceptual Fields, which describes how children develop an understanding of mathematics.

Laurence Richard Philipps, 1st Baron Milford, was a British peer. He was a founder and chairman of the shipping company Court Line.

Sylvie Bernier, CM, CQ is an Olympic athlete from Sainte-Foy, Quebec, Canada. She won the gold medal in the Women's 3m Springboard Diving at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
