Professor Nyong'o was the acting party leader from March 11 until late May when Raila Odinga was in the United States and was elected to the National Assembly of Kenya in the December 2007 parliamentary election, representing the Kisumu Rural Constituency. He was the Minister for Medical Services and previously the Minister for Planning & National Development. He is currently serving as the Governor for Kisumu County after serving as the Senator from 2013 to 2017.

Costantino "Tino" Conti is a retired Italian road cyclist who competed in the individual road race at the 1968 Summer Olympics. After that he turned professional and won a bronze medal at the 1976 World Championships. He also rode the Tour de France in 1970 and 1971 and finished within the podium at several major races.
