Harold Schechter is an American true crime writer who specializes in serial killers. He is a Professor Emeritus at Queens College, City University of New York where he taught classes in American literature and myth criticism for forty-two years. Schechter's essays have appeared in numerous publications including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, and the International Herald Tribune. He is the editor of the Library of America volume, True Crime: An American Anthology. His newest book, published in March 2021, is Maniac: The Bath School Disaster and the Birth of the Modern Mass Killer.

Peter Kodwo Appiah Turkson is a Ghanaian cardinal of the Catholic Church. He was president of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace from 24 October 2009 to 1 January 2017. From 2017 to 2021 he was prefect of the newly created Dicastery for the Promotion of Integral Human Development, which consolidated several areas under one administration including, environment, ecology, ethics, dignity of all people, poverty, and economics. In 2022 he was named chancellor of the Pontifical Academies for Sciences and for Social Sciences. He was Archbishop of Cape Coast from 1992 to 2009. He was made a cardinal by Pope John Paul II in 2003.

Andrew Christopher Fabian is a British astronomer and astrophysicist. He has been Director of the Institute of Astronomy, University of Cambridge since 2013. He was a Royal Society Research Professor at the Institute of Astronomy, Cambridge from 1982 to 2013, and Vice-Master of Darwin College, Cambridge from 1997 to 2012. He served as president of the Royal Astronomical Society from May 2008 through to 2010.
