Valdez is known for his aggressive fighting style, punching power and terrific combination punching. He currently boasts a 79% knockout percentage.

After a successful OHL career, Stamkos was selected first overall in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the Lightning. He is a two-time Maurice Richard Trophy winner as the NHL's leading goal-scorer, is a two-time NHL Second Team All-Star, and has been named to six NHL All-Star Games. He has scored the most points among players born in the 1990s decade. Stamkos captained the Lightning to a Stanley Cup championship in 2020, winning his first title and the franchise's second.
