The popularity of these works was supported for over a century by year-round performances of them, in Britain and abroad, by the repertory company that Gilbert, Sullivan and their producer Richard D'Oyly Carte founded, the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company. These Savoy operas are still frequently performed in the English-speaking world and beyond.

Charles Matthew Egerton Hazlewood is a British conductor. After winning the European Broadcasting Union conducting competition in 1995 whilst still in his twenties, Hazlewood has had a career as an international conductor, music director of film and theatre, composer and a curator of music on British radio and television, and founder of Paraorchestra - the world's first integrated ensemble of disabled and non-disabled musicians.

Timothy Alan Huelskamp is an American politician who was the U.S. Representative for Kansas's 1st congressional district from 2011 to 2017. Huelskamp, a member of the Republican Party, was rated the least bipartisan member of the House during the 114th Congress by The Lugar Center - McCourt school Bipartisan Index. Prior to entering Congress, he represented the 38th district of the Kansas Senate from 1997 until 2011. Known for his strong social conservatism, Huelskamp was the chairman of the House Tea Party Caucus from February 2015 until the end of his term on January 3, 2017. He was succeeded by Roger Marshall, who defeated him in the 2016 Republican primary.

Linda Fäh is a Swiss singer, model and beauty pageant titleholder. She won the Miss Switzerland title in 2009. Although Fäh was a favorite for 2010 Miss Universe pageant, she failed to place. As an attempt to start her musical career, Linda released an album in September 2015 under the label Telamo (Warner). The album is titled "Du Kannst Fliegen".

He moved to Hyderabad when Chandraswami was a child. Chandraswami was attracted to the study of Tantra from an early age. He left home when still young to become a student of Upadhyay Amar Muni and the eminent expert and scholar of Tantra, Mahamohopadhyay Gopinath Kaviraj. He later lived in the jungles of Bihar where he spent time in meditation. He claimed that after four years he obtained extraordinary powers called siddhis. Though Chandraswami was by birth a Jain, he became a "sadhaka" (worshipper) of the Goddess Kali. He was also interested in interfaith dialogue, and sat on the Board of World Religious Leaders for the Elijah Interfaith Institute.

He is known as "The March King" or the "American March King", to distinguish him from his British counterpart Kenneth J. Alford.
