Vamba Sherif is a Liberian-born writer residing in the Netherlands. He writes in English and Dutch. His latest novel, The Black Napoleon, is about Samori Toure, who founded a great empire in northwestern Africa in the 19th century. Toure fought the English and the French to hold on to this empire.

Danielle Tahuri is a New Zealand badminton player who plays for the Te Atatu badminton club. In 2010, she competed at the Badminton at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. In 2015, she reach the mixed doubles final at the Oceania Championships and won silver. She also won the women's doubles bronze in 2010, 2015 and 2017; and the mixed doubles bronze in 2017.

Barry Kemp is a television producer, director and writer, and a movie producer. He has written for numerous TV shows, but his two best-known creations are Newhart, which lasted for eight seasons on CBS (1982–1990) and Coach, which lasted for nine seasons on ABC (1989–1997). He also wrote for Taxi for four seasons and was the creator of Fresno and Delta. Kemp's movie productions include Romy and Michele's High School Reunion, Patch Adams and Catch Me If You Can.

Alioune Badara Cissé was a Senegalese politician. A member of the Alliance for the Republic (APR), he served as Foreign Minister of Senegal from 4 April to 29 October 2012.
