Winston Groom
Winston Francis Groom Jr. was an American novelist and non-fiction writer. He is best known for his 1986 novel Forrest Gump, which was adapted into the popular 1994 film Forrest Gump directed by Robert Zemeckis. The film was considered a cultural phenomenon and won six Academy Awards. He published a sequel, Gump and Co., in 1995. He also wrote numerous non-fiction works, on diverse subjects including the American Civil War and World War I.
Winston Garland
Winston Kinnard Garland is an American former professional basketball player at the point guard position. He played collegiately at the Southeastern Community College (Iowa) for two seasons, and then at the Missouri State University for the two following seasons. He was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round of the 1987 NBA draft. Garland played eight professional seasons, 7 of which were in the NBA, where he played for 5 different teams – Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers (1990–91), Denver Nuggets (1991–92), Houston Rockets (1992–93) and Minnesota Timberwolves (1994–95).

Winston Elliott Scott is a retired United States Navy Captain and former NASA astronaut. He served as a mission specialist on STS-72 in 1996 and STS-87 in 1997 logged a total of 24 days, 14 hours and 34 minutes in space, including three spacewalks totaling 19 hours and 26 minutes. Winston was also a naval pilot and flew helicopters and navy planes.
