William Reagan Gorham was an American-born Japanese automobile engineer who emigrated to Japan. Gorham would make substantial contributions to the technology and capability of Japan's fledgling automobile industry, and worked with a number of companies that would eventually be merged into the Nissan Motor Company by Yoshisuke Aikawa, who would become a close friend and business partner to Gorham.

William Strong was an American jurist and politician. He served as a justice of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and was successfully appointed as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States by President Ulysses S. Grant. He also served on the Commission that adjudicated the disputed presidential election of 1876.

He was born in Urbana, Illinois and died in San Fernando, California.

William Shepperd Ashe was a Democratic U.S. Representative from North Carolina between 1849 and 1855.

William Shepard was a United States Representative from Massachusetts (1797–1802), and a military officer in the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War. As a state militia leader he protected the Springfield Armory during Shays' Rebellion, firing cannon into the force of Daniel Shays and compelling them to disperse. He was also served in town and state government and was a member of the Massachusetts Governor's Council.
