William George de Burgh (1866–1943) was an English philosopher. Born 24 October 1866 in Wandsworth, he was educated at Winchester and Merton College, Oxford. He was a founding member of the University of Reading, where he became Professor of Philosophy in 1907. His works include Towards a Religious Philosophy (1937), From Morality to Religion (1938), and The Legacy of the Ancient World (1924). A committed Anglican, he endeavoured to justify the revealed truth of the gospel in terms of rationalism and thereby defend it against both the contemporary Protestant theological trend for anti-rationalism and the dominant philosophy of logical positivism. He died 27 August 1943 in Toller Porcorum, Dorset.

William Spencer Leveson-Gower, 4th Earl Granville,, styled The Honourable William Leveson-Gower until 1939, was a British naval commander and governor from the Leveson-Gower family.

William Nevill, 4th Earl of Abergavenny, styled Hon. William Nevill until 1845, was a British peer and clergyman. The fourth son of Henry Nevill, 2nd Earl of Abergavenny, he was ordained in 1816 and occupied two of the family livings until 1844. He succeeded his brother as Earl of Abergavenny the following year.

William Leslie, 3rd Earl of Rothes, was the son of Andrew Leslie, Master of Rothes, and Marjory Sinclair, daughter of William Sinclair, 1st Earl of Caithness. He succeeded his elder brother George as Earl in 1513.

William Montagu, 2nd Earl of Salisbury, 4th Baron Montagu, King of Mann, KG was an English nobleman and commander in the English army during King Edward III's French campaigns in the Hundred Years War. He was one of the Founder Knights of the Order of the Garter.

From 2010 to 2014 he was stable jockey to John Gosden. In 2015 he signed with Godolphin. Buick won his first Group1 race in Canada in 2010 and since then has won Group 1 races in England, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, the United Arab Emirates and the United States.He has won three Classics: the St Leger in 2010 and 2011 and the Derby in 2018.
