Tachibana Muneshige , known in his youth as Senkumamaru (千熊丸) and alternatively called Tachibana Munetora, was a samurai during the Azuchi–Momoyama period and an Edo-period daimyō.

Tachibana Ginchiyo was head of the Japanese Tachibana clan and onna-bugeisha during the Sengoku period. She was the daughter of Tachibana Dōsetsu, a powerful retainer of the Ōtomo clan. Because Dosetsu had no sons, he requested that Ginchiyo be made family head.

Tachibana no Kachiko , also known as Empress Danrin , was a Japanese empress, the chief consort of Emperor Saga and the daughter of Tachibana no Kiyotomo .

Tachibana no Hayanari was a Heian period Japanese government official, calligrapher, and member of the Tachibana family. He travelled to China in 804, returning in 806. He died while traveling to exile in Izu Province for supposed participation in an imperial succession controversy. His most famous remaining calligraphic work is the Ito Naishin'no Ganmon (伊都内親王願文), now in the Imperial Household collection. He is honored as one of the group of three outstanding calligraphers called Sanpitsu.
