Süleyman Nazif was a Turkish poet and a prominent member of the CUP. He mastered Arabic, Persian, and French languages and worked as a civil servant during the reign of Sultan Abdul Hamid II. He contributed to the literary magazine Servet-i Fünun until it was censored by the Ottoman government in 1901.

Süleyman Çelebi, imam of the Grand Mosque of Bursa during the Ottoman Empire, was an Islamic mystic and author whose only known work is Wasilat al-Najat. Commonly known as the Mevlidi Sherif - Süleyman Çelebi, it is the first and most famous of the Turkish-written mawlids on the birth of the Islamic prophet Muhammad.. Chalabi was born sometime between 1346–1351 and died in 1422 CE.

Süleyman Genç is a former Turkish politician and author. He was a leading figure of the Turkish left youth movement in the 1960s, and a member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey for the Republican People's Party (CHP) from 1973 to 1980.

Süleyman Pasha was the son of Orhan, the second ruler of the newly established Ottoman Empire. He played a major role in early Ottoman expansion into Thrace in the 1350s. He died in a hunting accident in 1357.
