Omar Saif Ghobash is an Emirati diplomat and author. He was appointed Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to France on November 24, 2017, having previously served as UAE Ambassador to Russia from 2009-2017. Ghobash authored the book, Letters to a Young Muslim, which was written as a series of letters to his eldest son about what it means to be Muslim in the 21st century.

Omar Daf is a Senegalese football manager and former player who manages French Ligue 2 club Sochaux. A Senegal international, he represented his country at the 2002 FIFA World Cup. He also holds a French passport and spent most of his playing career at French club Sochaux. Daf played as a right-back, but could also play on the left or at centre-back.

McVeigh and Sarah Mustillo, of the American Sociological Review, the flagship journal for the American Sociological Association. Starting in 2020, Lizardo became a member of the board of reviewing editors of the journal Science. The website academic influence ranks Lizardo as the most influential sociologist from the period 2010–2020. According to one commentator, he "has a history of grappling with important ideas in an innovative and insightful fashion" and is a widely cited author in numerous sub-fields of sociology.
