Johann Schobert was a composer and harpsichordist. His date of birth is given variously as about 1720, about 1735, or about 1740, his place of birth as Silesia, Alsace, or Nuremberg. He died after eating poisonous mushrooms that he insisted were edible.

Johann Christian Rosenmüller was a German anatomist born near Hildburghausen, Thuringia. He was the son of theologian Johann Georg Rosenmüller (1736-1815).

Johann Heinrich Gustav Meyer often just referred to as Gustav Meyer, was a German landscape architect and garden historian. As director of the gardens in the city of Berlin he designed parks and green areas for the city and use by the citizens. He also wrote a gardens manual Lehrbuch der schönen Gartenkunst: mit besonderer Rücksicht auf die praktische Ausführung von Gärten und Parkanlagen (1873) which included a historical view on gardening styles from Arabia, China, England, Italy, France and Holland.

Johann Georg Neumann (1661–1709) was a German Lutheran theologian and church historian.
