Abuzed Omar Dorda was a Libyan politician who was the General Secretary of the People's Committee of Libya from 7 October 1990 to 29 January 1994, and Libya's Permanent Representative to the United Nations from 1997 to 2003. Reports of his fleeing to Tunisia in 2011 were rumours confirmed by his interview on national Libyan TV evident by his imprisonment later that year in September.
