John Robert Thompson III is the assistant coach for the United States men's national basketball team since 2017. He previously served as the head coach of the men's basketball team at Georgetown University. He grew up in Washington, D.C. and was named first team All-Metro by The Washington Post while playing for Gonzaga College High School in 1984. Thompson was hired on April 20, 2004 to replace Craig Esherick and was fired at the end of the 2017 season. Prior to being hired at Georgetown, Thompson was the head coach for four years at his alma mater, Princeton University.

Thomas Ludwig John D'Alesandro III was an American attorney and politician who served as the 43rd mayor of Baltimore from 1967 to 1971. He was the eldest brother of Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, and a son of former Baltimore mayor Thomas D'Alesandro Jr., who served from 1947 to 1959. The Baltimore riot of 1968 occurred during his tenure as mayor.

Thutmose served as the head of Hatshepsut's armies. During the final two years of his reign, he appointed his son and successor, Amenhotep II, as his junior co-regent. His firstborn son and heir to the throne, Amenemhat, predeceased Thutmose III.
