Josh Holmes is a Canadian game producer and video game designer originally from Vancouver, British Columbia. Holmes is known for his work at 343 Industries, the studio responsible for the Halo franchise. Holmes was born and raised in British Columbia. After pursuing a career in acting, Holmes turned to games development and worked for years at Electronic Arts, rising from games tester to producer. After leaving Electronic Arts, he co-founded Propaganda Games, before joining 343 Industries in 2009.

Sir Charles John Holmes, KCVO was a British painter, art historian and museum director. His writing on art combined theory with practice, and he was an expert on the painting techniques of the Old Masters, from whose example he had learned to draw and paint.

William Holmes was an American film editor. He won an Oscar for Best Film Editing at the 14th Academy Awards for his work on the film Sergeant York.

Lindsey S. Holmes is a Republican member of the Alaska House of Representatives, representing the 26th District since 2006. She was a registered Democrat until she changed parties and joined the Alaska House Majority Coalition on January 12, 2013. Holmes declined to run for another term in 2014.
