Alexis Margaret Herman is an American politician who served as the 23rd U.S. Secretary of Labor under President Bill Clinton. Herman was the first African-American to hold the position. Prior to serving as Secretary, she was Assistant to the President and Director of the White House Office of Public Engagement.

Paul Herman is an American actor. Among other roles, he is known for playing Randy in David O. Russell's dramedy Silver Linings Playbook (2012) and Whispers DiTullio in Martin Scorsese's crime epic The Irishman (2019).

Susan N. Herman is an American constitutional law scholar and past president of the American Civil Liberties Union from October of 2008 until January of 2021. Herman has taught at Brooklyn Law School since 1980.
