Ferdinand of Fürstenberg, contemporaneously also known as Ferdinandus liber baro de Furstenberg, was, as Ferdinand II, Prince Bishop of Paderborn from 1661 to 1683 and also Prince Bishop of Münster from 1678 to 1683, having been its coadjutor since 1667/68. He was brought almost complete restoration to the Bishopric of Paderborn after the devastation of the Thirty Years' War.

Joseph Wilhelm Ernst was a prince of Fürstenberg-Fürstenberg who changed his residence to Donaueschingen, at the head of the Danube, and thus converted the existing settlement into a town. He was succeeded by his eldest son Joseph Wenzel.

Herman Egon, Prince of Fürstenberg-Heiligenberg was Hofmeister, Chamberlain, Privy Councillor and Hofmarschall to Elector Ferdinand Maria of Bavaria. With his brothers Francis Egon and Wilhelm Egon, he played an important role in the imperial election of 1658 in Frankfurt. In 1664, Herman Egon and his brothers were elevated to Imperial Princes.

Eleonore of Fürstenberg was a daughter of Count Frederick III of Fürstenberg. Eleanore was a convinced Protestant. However, she had little influence on the change of denomination in Hanau-Lichtenberg, due to her untimely death.

Charles Egon III of Fürstenberg was an officer in the armies of the Grand Duchy of Baden and the Kingdom of Prussia, rising to Cavalry General. He was born in Donaueschingen, the son of Charles Egon II, Prince of Fürstenberg and Amalie of Baden. From 1854 to 1892 he was also the senior member of the Swabian line of the House of Fürstenberg. Due to his extensive estates he was a member of the Prussian House of Lords, the upper chamber of Baden and the upper chamber of the Estates of Württemberg. From 1864 to 1892 he was president of the Association of German Standesherren. He died in Paris and was succeeded by his son Charles Egon IV.
