He is best known for originally playing the role of Connor Murphy in the Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen, a performance for which he was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical and, with the cast, earned a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album and a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Musical Performance in a Daytime Program. He also originated the role of Morris Delancey in Disney's Newsies.
