List of Famous Football Managers

Manfred Bender is a German football manager and former player. He last managed Austria Klagenfurt. Between 1989 and 1999 he played for FC Bayern Munich, Karlsruher SC and 1860 Munich. In total Bender played 229 games in the Bundesliga, scoring 42 goals. Bender is most fondly remembered for a goal scored against Oliver Kahn and Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.

Roger Machado Marques, also known simply as Roger, is a Brazilian football manager and former player who played as a left back. Machado's playing career was mainly associated with Grêmio, a club he represented for ten years. After retiring with Fluminense in 2008, he later became a manager, being notably in charge of both his former sides.

Sean Mark Dyche is an English professional football manager and former player who is the manager of Premier League club Burnley.

Michael Preetz is a German former professional footballer who played as a forward. He spent his whole career in Germany, playing for Fortuna Düsseldorf, 1. FC Saarbrücken, MSV Duisburg and SG Wattenscheid 09, but he is mostly remembered for his seven-year spell at Hertha BSC where he ended his career. After retiring from active play, he stayed with the club, going directly into management.

Alexander McLeish is a Scottish professional football manager and former player. Born in Glasgow, McLeish played as a central defender for Aberdeen during their 1980s glory years, making nearly 500 League appearances for the club, and won 77 caps for Scotland.
