Thomas Francis Jr. was an American physician, virologist, and epidemiologist. Francis was the first person to isolate influenza virus in the United States, and in 1940 showed that there are other strains of influenza, and took part in the development of influenza vaccines.

Thomas N. Morahan was a British film designer nominated for an Oscar for the film Sons and Lovers (1960).

Pauline Elvira Bush was an American silent film actress. She was nicknamed "The Madonna of the Movies".

Raymond Louviot was a French professional road bicycle racer. He was the grandfather of cyclist Philippe Louviot.

Filipp Sergeyevich Oktyabrsky was a Soviet naval commander. He began service in the Baltic Fleet in 1918. From 1925–27 he studied at the Naval Academy in Leningrad. As vice-admiral he was given command of the Black Sea Fleet in March 1939 and headed its actions during the Sieges of Sevastopol (1941-1942) and Odessa (1941). After the war he became a Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, commander of all naval test centres and from 1957 to 1960 head of the Black Sea Higher Naval Institute "Admiral Pavel Nakhimov" in Sevastopol.

Ákos Ráthonyi was a Hungarian film director and screenwriter. He directed 42 films between 1936 and 1968. He was born in Budapest, Hungary and died in Munich, West Germany.
