John Lee Anthony Tapia was an American professional boxer who competed from 1988 to 2011. He held multiple world championships in three weight classes, including the unified IBF and WBO super flyweight titles between 1994 and 1998, the unified WBA and WBO bantamweight titles between 1998 and 2000, and the IBF featherweight title in 2002. His 1999 loss by decision to Paulie Ayala was named the Fight of the Year by The Ring magazine.

Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib, was the wife of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the first President of Bangladesh. She was assassinated with her husband and three sons.

Godfrey Chitalu nicknamed Ucar was a Zambian footballer who played as a forward. He is widely regarded as the greatest Zambian player of all time as he holds his national team's goalscoring record and was voted Zambian footballer of the year five times. As well, he was selected by CAF as one of the best 200 African footballers of the past 50 years in 2006. The Football Association of Zambia claimed that Chitalu scored more than 100 goals in all competitions in 1972, more than Gerd Müller's total in 1972 and Lionel Messi's total in 2012, both of which are often referred to by journalist as "world records". The research was presented in the year 2012 after Lionel Messi broke the alleged world record of Gerd Müller. Nevertheless, a FIFA spokesman declared that an official FIFA world record had never existed as they did not keep track of domestic competitions.

Jyrgalbek Kalmamatov was a Kyrgyz politician and member of the Kyrgyzstan Party. He was born on December 22, 1972 in the village of Gulcho Osh Oblast. In 1993, he graduated from the Kyrgyz financial and economic school. He was elected to the Supreme Council in 2015, he died in office on 2 January 2018 of a heart attack at the age of 45. Kalmamatov had a wife and nine children.
