Yasushi Watanabe is a full Professor at Keio University in Japan. He earned a Ph.D. in Social Anthropology at Harvard University in 1997 with a dissertation on "Nurturing A Context: The Logic of Individualism and the Negotiation of the Familial Sphere in the United States." After post-doctoral fellowships at Cambridge and Oxford Universities, he joined Keio University's Graduate School of Media and Governance as well as Faculty of Environment and Information Studies in 1999. He attained the rank of full Professor in 2005, and is one of Japan's most prominent experts on cultural policy, public diplomacy, and American Studies.

Gyalo Thondup, born c.1927, is the second-eldest brother of the 14th Dalai Lama. He often acted as the Dalai Lama's unofficial envoy.

Double You are an Italian Eurodance group founded in 1985, when singer William Naraine started producing demos with Franco Amato and Andrea de Antoni. By 1992, they had sold more than three million records and the single "Please Don't Go" was a success.

Ghita Nørby is a Danish actress with 117 film credits to her name from 1956–2005, making her one of the most active Danish actresses ever. She was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, the daughter of opera singer Einar Nørby (1896–1983). She studied two years at the Danish Royal Theatre, and was an actress there from 1956–1959.

Chūichi Date is a Japanese retired politician of the Liberal Democratic Party who previous served as a member of the House of Councillors in the Diet. A native of Ashibetsu, Hokkaido and high school graduate, he was elected to the House of Councillors for the first time in 2001 after serving in the prefectural assembly of Hokkaidō. He was a former President of the House of Councillors.

David Millar is a Scottish retired professional road racing cyclist. He rode for Cofidis from 1997 to 2004 and Garmin-Sharp from 2008 to 2014. He has won four stages of the Tour de France, five of the Vuelta a España and one stage of the Giro d'Italia. He was the British national road champion and the national time trial champion, both in 2007.

Peter Chou or Win Than is the former HTC CEO chief executive officer and a co-founder of HTC. Chou founded HTC with Cher Wang (王雪紅) and H.T.Cho (卓火土) before being named CEO of HTC in 2004, succeeding H.T.Cho. In order to spearhead innovation initiatives for HTC, Chou would later serve as head of HTC Future Development Lab starting early 2015, with Cher Wang succeeding as CEO.

Dr. Ali Muhammad al-Sallabi, or al-Salabi is a Muslim historian, religious scholar and Islamist politician from Libya. He was arrested by the Gaddafi regime, then left Libya and studied Islam in Saudi Arabia and Sudan during the 1990s. He then studied in Qatar under Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the spiritual head of the international Muslim Brotherhood and returned to Libya during the 2011 overthrow of Gaddafi and distributed weapons, money and aid to Islamist groups in the country. His actions were criticized by members of the internationally recognized Libyan government under the National Transitional Council who he in turn criticized as being secular.
