Yolande Palaiologina or Violant was the daughter of Theodore I, Marquess of Montferrat, and Argentina Spinola (1303-1356), a Genoese lady, daughter of Opicino Spinola. She received the name Yolande from her paternal grandmother Irene of Montferrat.

Sir William Stafford, of Chebsey, in Staffordshire was an Essex landowner and the second husband of Mary Boleyn, who was the sister of Anne Boleyn and one-time mistress of King Henry VIII of England.

Conrad of Hohenstaufen was the first hereditary Count Palatine of the Rhine.

Vukan Nemanjić was the Grand Prince of the Grand Principality of Serbia from 1202 to 1204. He was the Grand Prince of Pomorje from 1195 until his death. He was the eldest, but his father had instead chosen his younger brother Stefan as heir, as soon as his father died, he plotted against his brother, Stefan II Nemanjić, and took the throne by force, in a coup assisted by the Kingdom of Hungary. He was defeated two years later, and was pardoned by his third brother, who became Saint Sava, and he continued to rule his appanage of Zeta unpunished.

Azzo VI, also known as Azzolino, was an Italian nobleman and condottiero. He held the title of Marquis of Este from the death of his father, Azzo V (1190) until his death.

Stepan Dmitrievich Yanovsky was a family doctor of Fyodor Dostoyevsky. He watched after the writer's health from 1846 to 1849. He was also an author of memoirs about Dostoevsky. Some features of Yanovsky and some family events from his life were reflected in the image of Dostoevsky's character Pavel Pavlovich Trusotsky.

Gerlach II, Count of Nassau-Wiesbaden (1333–1386) was the eldest son of Adolph I, Count of Nassau-Wiesbaden-Idstein and his wife Margaret of Nuremberg. When his father died in 1370, he inherited Nassau-Wiesbaden.
