Agnete Friis is a former Danish badminton player. She became Danish Champion in the women's singles in 1941 and 1944 and nine times in women's doubles from 1941-1958. She played for the national team until the end of the 1950s. She also reached three All England Championship Finals in all three categories in 1953. In the singles final she lost to Marie Ussing; the two of them lost the doubles final to Iris Cooley and June White of Great Britain and in the mixed doubles with Poul Holm, they were defeated by Eddy Choong and June White.

Inaya Ezzeddine is a Lebanese politician and doctor who serves as member of parliament since 2018. A member of Amal Movement, she has served as minister of state for administrative reform in the second cabinet of Saad Hariri from 2016 to 2019. She chairs the women and children parliamentary committee. In 2020, French President Emmanuel Macron awarded her the Legion of Honor.

Jasser Auda is a scholar and distinguished professor of Islamic law, in particular, the study of the higher purposes or maqasid of the Sharia. He is the President of Maqasid Institute Global, which is a think tank registered in the United States, United Kingdom, Malaysia and Indonesia, and has educational and research programs in a number of countries.

Bigalı Mehmet Çavuş, was an Ottoman Army sergeant, who fought during the Gallipoli Campaign of World War I. He is remembered as a hero, and is considered to be the eponym of the common name "Mehmetçik" used for an Ottoman or a Turkish soldier.

Audrey Diwan is a French film director of Lebanese origin. Prior to becoming a film director she worked as a journalist and a screenwriter. She is a member of Collectif 50/50, a French NGO promoting equality between men and women in the film industry. In 2021 her film Happening won Golden Lion at 78th Venice International Film Festival.

Oberto Grimaldi was one of the four sons of Grimaldo Canella and, therefore, one of the grandsons of Otto Canella. The historian Gustave Saige wrote that Oberto Grimaldi was "one of the greatest personages" of the Republic of Genoa. He and his brother-in-law, Oberto Spinola, founded Genoa's Church of St. Luke.
