Mithridates I of the Bosporus sometimes known as Mithridates II of the Bosporus and Mithridates of Pergamon, was a nobleman from Anatolia. Mithridates was one of the sons born to King Mithridates VI of Pontus from his mistress, the Galatian Princess Adobogiona the Elder. He also had a full-blooded sister called Adobogiona the Younger. The Pontic prince was of Persian, Macedonian and Galatian ancestry.

Sitt al-Mulk, was a Fatimid princess. After the disappearance of her half-brother, the caliph al-Hakim bi-Amr Allah, in 1021, she was instrumental in securing the succession of her nephew Ali az-Zahir, and acted as the de facto ruler of the state until her death on 5 February 1023.

Appius Claudius Caudex was a patrician member of the Claudii. He was the younger brother of Appius Claudius Caecus through his father Gaius Claudius Crassus, and served as consul in 264 BC.
