Seuthes I was king of the Odrysian Thracians from 424 BC until ?410(407)BC. He was the nephew of Sitalces. After he became king, Seuthes increased the tribute of the Hellenic cities on the coast. In 411 BC Seuthes led a campaign against Athens. Seuthes died in ?410(407) BC after a serious illness. Amadocus succeeded him as ruler of the Odrysian kingdom.

Charles-Valentin Alkan was a French-Jewish composer and virtuoso pianist. At the height of his fame in the 1830s and 1840s he was, alongside his friends and colleagues Frédéric Chopin and Franz Liszt, among the leading pianists in Paris, a city in which he spent virtually his entire life.
