Ollie Murray James was an American politician. A Democrat, he represented Kentucky in the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate.

Luigi Felice Rossi was an Italian composer, music teacher, musicologist, and music theorist. He mainly composed instrumental and sacred music. He did write one opera, Gli avventurieri, which premiered successfully in Turin in 1835. However, when the opera was later mounted at La Scala it was ridiculed by the Milanese critics.

Renato Balestrero was an Italian racecar driver from Genoa, winning 54 out of 217 races between 1922 and 1947.

John R. Baylor was a US Indian agent, publisher and editor, politician, and a senior officer of the Confederate States Army. After being dismissed as Indian agent, he became one of the founding editors of The White Man, a newspaper in North Texas, and a strong critic of Governor Sam Houston.
