Oleksandr Oleksandrovych Skichko is a Ukrainian politician, comedian, actor, and television presenter. On 29 January 2021 Skichko was appointed as the Governor of Cherkasy Oblast.

Heorhiy Bushchan is a Ukrainian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for FC Dynamo Kyiv in the Ukrainian Premier League.

Svyatoslav Vakarchuk is a Ukrainian musician, politician and public activist. He is the lead vocalist of Okean Elzy, a rock band in Ukraine. Vakarchuk is a former member of the Ukrainian parliament, and the founder of the Voice.

Larisa Angela Bakurova is a Ukrainian-born Taiwanese actress and model. In 2012, Bakurova starred in the film Young Dudes directed by DJ Chen Yin-Jung.

Iryna Oleksiyivna Merleni, née Melnyk (Мельник), married name Mykulchyn (Микульчин) is a Ukrainian wrestler, who competed in the – 48 kg weight class at the 2004 Summer Olympics and claimed the gold medal. In the same event at the 2008 Summer Olympics, she won a bronze medal. She is a three-time world champion, and won the European championship once.

Denys Anatoliyovych Shmyhal is a Ukrainian entrepreneur and politician. Since 4 March 2020, Shmyhal has been serving as the country’s Prime Minister, in charge of the COVID-19 Pandemic Response in Ukraine.

Borys Yevhenovych Paton HOU was a Soviet and Ukrainian scientist and a long-time chairman of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. He was appointed to this post in 1962 and held it until March 2020. Paton, like his father Evgeny Paton, was famous for his works in electric welding.
