Miroslav Šmajda is a Slovak singer living in Prague. He represented Slovakia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with the song "Don't Close Your Eyes".

Julia Warhola was the mother of the American artist Andy Warhol.

Franz Lehár was an Austro-Hungarian composer. He is mainly known for his operettas, of which the most successful and best known is The Merry Widow.

Peter Dvorský is a Slovak operatic tenor. Possessing a lyrical voice with a soft, elastic tone, and warm and melodious timbre, Dvorský's repertoire concentrates on roles from the Italian and Slavic repertories.

Edita Gruberová is a Slovak coloratura soprano. She enjoyed huge success internationally in roles such as Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos and Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute. In her later career, she explored heavier roles in the Italian bel canto repertoire, such as the title role in Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor and Elisabetta in Roberto Devereux, and Elvira in Bellini's I puritani.

Matej Hliničan is a Slovak male badminton player. In 2014, he won the Ethiopia International tournament in the mixed doubles event partnered with Bridget Shamim Bangi of Ethiopia, and became the runner-up in the men's doubles event with Arnaud Genin of French. In December 2014, he and Bangi became the runner-up at the Botswana International tournament, they were defeated by the South African pair in the final round. In 2015, he teamed-up with Jan Fröhlich in the men's doubles event, and they became the runner-up at the Puerto Rico International tournament.

Jarmila Wolfe is a Slovak-Australian former tennis player.

Zuzana Babiaková, née Paurová, is a Slovak former competitive figure skater. She is the 2003 Golden Spin of Zagreb champion, a two-time Ondrej Nepela Memorial champion (1998–99), and a nine-time Slovak national champion. She qualified for the free skate at seven European Championships, four World Championships, and the 2002 Winter Olympics, where she placed 21st.
