Siegmar Wätzlich was a German footballer.

Wolfgang Uhlmann was a German chess grandmaster. He was East Germany's most successful chess player, reaching the 1971 Candidates Tournament. During his career, Uhlmann played many of the top players of the time and won the East Germany Chess Championships 11 times. Uhlmann continued to play chess into his later years, before dying at the age of 85 in Dresden.

Erika Pohl-Ströher was a German business executive, heiress, and collector of minerals and German folk art. She was resident in Switzerland for much of her life.

Johanna König was a German actress. She appeared in more than 50 films and television shows between 1952 and 1999. König was born in Leipzig, Germany and died in Berlin on 3 March 2009.

Marita Böhme is a German actress. She appeared in more than forty films from 1962 to 2005.

Bernhard Eckstein was a German cyclist. In 1960, he won the road race at the world championships and finished in 22nd place in the road race at the 1960 Summer Olympics. During his career he won six one-day races, four in 1958, one in 1960, and one in 1966.

Georg Rimpler was a German military engineer. A well-travelled engineer, Rimpler served in a number of European armies before being appointed Chief Engineer of the Holy Roman Empire in 1681. He was killed during the 1683 Siege of Vienna.
