Sir Ti-liang Yang, GBM, is a retired senior Hong Kong judge. He was the Chief Justice of Hong Kong from 1988–1996, the only ethnic Chinese person to hold this office during British colonial rule.

Xiyue Wang is a Chinese-American graduate student who was imprisoned in Iran from 2016 to 2019 after being accused of espionage.

Wang Shu is a Chinese architect based in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. He is the dean of the School of Architecture of the China Academy of Art. With his practice partner and wife Lu Wenyu, he founded the firm Amateur Architecture Studio. In 2012, Wang became the first Chinese citizen to win the Pritzker Prize, the world's top prize in architecture. The award was the subject of some controversy since the Pritzker committee did not also award Lu Wenyu, his wife and architectural partner, despite their years of collaboration.

Pan Jianwei is a Chinese quantum physicist and university administrator known for his work in the field of quantum entanglement. In 2017, he has was named one of Nature's 10, which labelled him "Father of Quantum." He is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the World Academy of Sciences and Executive Vice President of the University of Science and Technology of China. He also serves as Vice Chairman of Jiusan Society, one of the minor political parties in China under the direct leadership of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Wu Yi is a retired Chinese politician. She was one of the country's most visible leaders during the first decade of the 21st century, best known for taking on the role of Minister of Health from April 2003 during the SARS outbreak, shortly after becoming Vice Premier of the State Council, a position she served in between March 2003 and March 2008. She was also a member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China. She has since retired and left public life. She was commonly referred to as the "iron lady" by Chinese media, and was known to be a tough negotiator internationally.

Liu Xiang, born Liu Gengsheng and bearing the courtesy name Zizheng, was a Chinese astronomer, poet, politician, historian, librarian and writer of the Western Han Dynasty. Among his polymathic scholarly specialties were history, literary bibliography, and astronomy. He is particularly well known for his bibliographic work in cataloging and editing the extensive imperial library.

June Zhu or Zhu Jing, born Yue Hanzan (月罕瓒), is a folk singer of Dai ethnicity from Yunnan, China. She released her first solo album in 2008 in Taiwan under Universal Music. Years later after competing in a singing competition, she released a new single on July 25, 2014 and her second solo album in September 2014. She participated in Sisters Who Make Waves in 2020.

Zhang Yue is a former Chinese politician, and Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission of Hebei. A police officer by training, Zhang had a lengthy career rising through the ranks in China's policing system. He was dismissed from his position in April 2016 and undergoing investigation by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
